AIS จับมือ Singtel ลุยขยายบริการชำระเงินข้ามประเทศอย่างต่อเนื่อง ขยายการใช้งานไปสู่ประเทศที่คนไทยนิยมเดินทางไปท่องเที่ยว ส่งเสริมคนไทยเข้าถึงการชำระเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ง่ายยิ่งขึ้น

    เอไอเอส ผู้นำนวัตกรรมเครือข่ายและบริการดิจิทัลอันดับ 1 ของประเทศ เดินหน้าส่งเสริมการเข้าถึงการชำระเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์อย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยหลังจากจับมือกลุ่มสิงเทล และธนาคารกสิกรไทย ผู้นำด้านดิจิทัลแบงก์กิ้ง เปิดตัว VIA เครือข่ายบริการชำระเงินด้วยมือถือข้ามประเทศเป็นรายแรกเมื่อเดือนตุลาคม 2561 ที่ผ่านมา

     เพื่ออำนวยความสะดวกให้ลูกค้าชาวสิงคโปร์ที่ใช้กระเป๋าเงินอิเล็คทรอนิกส์ Singtel Dash และลูกค้าเอไอเอสที่ใช้ Rabbit LINE Pay (ผ่านแอปฯ AIS GLOBAL Pay) สามารถชำระเงินผ่าน QR Code ที่มีสัญลักษณ์ VIA หรือ Thai QR Code ด้วยสกุลเงินของประเทศตัวเอง โดยไม่มีค่าธรรมเนียม ช่วยให้ไม่ต้องกังวลกับอัตราแลกเปลี่ยน หรือถือเงินสดในระหว่างเดินทาง ซึ่งได้รับการตอบรับจากลูกค้าเป็นอย่างดี

      ล่าสุด ต่อยอดแอปพลิเคชัน AIS GLOBAL Pay ไปอีกขั้น โดยเร่งขยายการให้บริการไปยังพันธมิตรอื่นๆ ในภูมิภาค นอกเหนือจากสิงคโปร์ เช่น Telkomsel ในอินโดนีเซีย, Globe ในฟิลิปปินส์, Airtel ในอินเดีย รวมถึงประเทศที่คนไทยนิยมเดินทางไปท่องเที่ยว เช่น ญี่ปุ่น พร้อมกันนี้ VIA ยังเตรียมเปิดให้บริการชำระเงินผ่าน QR Code ที่สนามบินชางงีของประเทศสิงคโปร์ ในเร็วๆ นี้ ซึ่งจะทำให้ลูกค้า Dash และลูกค้าเอไอเอสที่ใช้ Rabbit LINE Pay (ผ่านแอปฯ AIS GLOBAL Pay) สามารถชำระเงินในสนามบินชางงีได้อย่างสะดวกสบายยิ่งขึ้น ถือเป็นความร่วมมือในการผลักดันแนวคิดสังคมไร้เงินสดแบบไร้พรมแดน และเสริมความแข็งแกร่งให้กับนโยบายเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลในภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

       ทั้งนี้ เอไอเอสร่วมจัดแสดงนิทรรศการความก้าวหน้าด้านบริการชำระเงินและเทคโนโลยีทางการเงิน ภายใต้แนวคิด ASEAN Payment Connectivity ในงาน ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting and Related Meetings (AFMGM) ซึ่งเป็นการประชุมด้านการเงินครั้งสำคัญระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่ประเทศไทยเป็นประธานการประชุมในปีนี้ โดยมีรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลังและผู้ว่าการธนาคารกลางจากประเทศกลุ่มอาเซียนเข้าร่วม

AIS partners with Singtel to continuously expand cross-border payment services,
by increasing usage to countries where Thais prefer to travel. This helps promoting Thais to access digital payment more easily.
       AIS, Thailand's No. 1 network and digital life service provider continues to promote digital payment, after joining with SingTel Group and Kasikorn Bank, Thailand's digital banking leader, launched "VIA" the first cross-border mobile payment alliance in October 2018 to facilitate the Singaporean customers who use Singtel Dash mobile wallet and AIS customers who use Rabbit LINE Pay (via AIS GLOBAL Pay app) to pay via QR Code at any VIA symbol or Thai QR Code with their home currency without fees. This also helps customers to get better exchange rates and worry-free about holding cash on the go. All of these have been well realized by customers.
     Lastly, AIS continues to extend the AIS GLOBAL Pay app by accelerating the expansion of services to other partners in the region, other than Singapore, such as Telkomsel in Indonesia, Globe in Philippines, Airtel in India, including countries which Thais prefer to travel like Japan. Besides, VIA is also preparing to launch payment services via QR Code at Singapore Changi Airport soon which will allow Dash customers and AIS customers who use Rabbit LINE Pay (via AIS GLOBAL Pay app) to make payments in Changi Airport more convenient. This cooperation is pushing the concept of cross-border cashless society and strengthen the digital economy policy in Southeast Asia.
     Meanwhile, AIS is proud to participate in the exhibition of advances in payment services and financial technology, under the concept of ASEAN Payment Connectivity at the ASEAN Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting and Related Meetings (AFMGM) which is a significant regional financial conference in Southeast Asia, with the Minister of Finance and the Central Bank Governor from the AEC Group join this event.
